For Universities, IP3 offers an array of seminars, courses, and conferences. Working extensively with NSA sponsored Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education, IP3 delivers its flagship seminar series, Strategy to Reality, at 20 of the nation's leading universities. The 2-day seminar addresses the industry's most pressing issues surrounding information system security while providing the university with an opportunity to showcase its programs and offerings in the field. These workshops draw together IT security professionals from the region for intensive, interactive forums.

University of North Texas

Regional Information Systems Security Center  

The Regional Information Systems Security Center is funded by a National Science Foundation Advanced Technology Education Grant and is dedicated to expanding knowledge of computer security.

Through a variety of education and outreach activities, our mission is to raise computer security awareness within our surrounding communities.   RISSC Grant activities are designed to benefit students and educators on our own campus at Mt. SAC, the campuses of our CSU partners and Community College partners (Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State LA, Cal State Northridge and Long Beach City College).   We also reach out to local K-12 students and educators and continue to build partnerships with local industry.

Portland State University

Health Information Technology
MSU HealthTeam is the multi-specialty medical practice comprised of teaching faculty from MSU’s College of Human Medicine, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and College of Nursing. We are continuing to grow, offering primary and specialty health care services to the general public. MSU HealthTeam is comprised of approximately 200 physicians and nurse practitioners from 14 clinical departments, as well as many allied health professionals such as nurses, psychologists, social workers, therapists and nutritionists. MSU HealthTeam providers are also actively involved in teaching and clinical research, keeping them on the forefront of the latest medical advances.

Our providers practice at clinic locations throughout the greater Lansing area. The largest clinical practice is the MSU Clinical Center, which is located on the MSU campus. This site offers multiple primary and specialty services, as well as a pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services. Our practices are open to the general public.

One of the missions of MSU HealthTeam is to provide health care education to graduate physicians in residency training, as well as to medical and nursing students. Under the guidance of staff physicians and nurses, these students often participate in patient care programs.

Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security, University of Texas, San Antonio

The Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) is the operational division of the Institute for Cyber Security at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The CIAS is designed to leverage San Antonio's Infrastructure Assurance and Security (IAS) strengths as part of the solution to the nation's Homeland Security needs and deficit of IAS talent and resources.

The Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) was established in June of 2001. The CIAS leads San Antonio’s charge to become the national center for homeland security issues and in March of 2002 the United States National Security Agency (NSA) designated the University of Texas at San Antonio a National Center of Excellence in Information Assurance.

Eastern Michigan University

Eastern Michigan University, located in Ypsilanti, MI, is a public, comprehensive university that offers programs in the arts, sciences and professions. Founded in 1949, the University prepares students with the intellectual skills and practical experiences to succeed in their careers and lives, and to be better citizens.Information Security/Assurance at Eastern Michigan University is a major program in the School of Technology Studies. The recently added Information Assurance Undergraduate Degree has three concentrations; IA Management, IA Applied (Forensics and Cybercrime), and IA Encryption. For those at the graduate level, EMU’s NSA-recognized Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance provides three unique opportunities for individuals to pursue Information Assurance/Security studies.

At the master’s level, students may incorporate a concentration in Information Assurance/Security within the Master’s of Liberal Studies degree. Three tracks may be pursued: 

  • Management and Supervision of Information Assurance operations, 
  • Computer Forensics, and 
  • Cyber Crime Investigation. 

At the doctoral level, students may specialize through the Information Assurance Track in the Ph.D. Technology program. This contains a research specialization for those individuals who want to pursue a terminal degree. 

The Information Security Graduate Certificate, which provides professionals with instruction necessary to participate in a team-based information security or protection program in larger organizations and to initiate and manage programs in smaller organizations. 

  • The program is appropriate for professionals with special needs (as for example, those in legal fields, law enforcement, computer training and education, marketing or other fields concerned with information security-related issues and or products and services). 
  • The program can also, with appropriate preparatory experiences, serve a general educational role for individuals who want to become better decision makers and more knowledgeable participants/discussants in legislative and ethical issues.

York University

With its 50th anniversary fast approaching in 2009, York University is Canada's third largest university offering full and part-time graduate and undergraduate degree programs to over 50,000 students in 11 Faculties. Housed within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in computer science and computer engineering: the BA and B.Sc. in Computer Science, the BA and BSc in Computer Security, the BASc Computer Engineering, and the innovative iBSc in Computer Science, as well as graduate MSc and PhD programs. University of Washington Tacoma

Since opening our doors in 1990, the University of Washington, Tacoma has provided high-quality programs leading to bachelor's and master's degrees. Polytechnic University

Illinois Institute of Technology 

The IIT Center for Professional Development (CPD) is an academic unit of Illinois Institute of Technology that encompasses Information Technology and Management Degree Programs, Manufacturing/Industrial Programs including Manufacturing Technology & Management Degrees and CEU-bearing (Continuing Education Units) Professional Learning Programs extending to Information Technology Certificates as well as short courses in all of the university's disciplines. The MISRC (, is a non-profit organization in the Carlson School of Management (, University of Minnesota ( It was founded in 1968 as part of the MIS curriculum development at the Carlson School.
