CISSP ® Instructor
John Hackmeyer
CISSP John Hackmeyer has focused his career in information security. The majority of these years were spent architecting and deploying security solutions for large enterprises. His solutions have been successfully deployed in nearly 40 countries around the world. These designs have protected global Fortune 10 companies, as well as, local, state and federal (DOD and Civilian) organizations. John has also made a priority of giving back to the information security community. Throughout his career, he has provided instruction for various organizations, as well as, participated in public speaking forums. A sample of these engagements include: briefing a global security team for a Global Fortune 10 company, speaking at several information security conferences, presenting security solutions to hundreds of enterprise customers, teaching for the Cisco Networking Academy, and of course, mentoring students through the CISSP attainment process. With regard to the CISSP, Mr. Hackmeyer has set himself apart by successfully utilizing an instructional methodology rarely seen outside the world of graduate level academia. His experience in graduate level research and instruction has given him the tools to successfully lead students to achieving their CISSP. The CISSP exam is quite challenging. It is not uncommon for a CISSP test taker to know the exam material very well, yet s/he can still fail the exam. The reason for this is quite simple: The exam does not only test what you know, but it also examines if you can apply what you know. His instructional methodology is geared to make sure that each student learns the required information and can apply his/her knowledge on the CISSP exam and as an information security professional.
